Having overpowered the victim, they stole his phone, identification documents, cash, and other personal belongings before fleeing the scene.
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that law enforcement officers have identified and apprehended the suspects. Both 38-year-old men have been charged with grave robbery committed by a group with prior conspiracy and violence, in accordance with Article 186, Part 4 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code. This crime is punishable by up to ten years in prison.
The prosecution noted that the attack took place during a period of martial law, which may amplify the penalties for the perpetrators.
