Arsenal are preparing an opening transfer offer worth around €40 million for RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa, placing them at the forefront of the race to sign the 21-year-old Norwegian international. The reported €40 million bid falls some way short of the valuation held by the Bundesliga club, who value the player at between €60 million and €65 million.
Leipzig Demands Steep Fee to Block Winter Transfer
While Arsenal are preparing to test the German club’s resolve, RB Leipzig have no interest in letting Nusa leave during the winter transfer window. The player himself is not pushing for a move either. Die Roten Bullen hold a strong negotiating position as Nusa’s contract runs until 2029, and the club’s asking price sits at €60-65 million.
Nusa has made a strong start to the season, racking up three goals and two assists in six appearances for RB Leipzig, building on a productive opening to the campaign that has seen him draw widespread attention across Europe.
Extensive European Interest
The Gunners face heavy competition for the former Club Brugge talent, with Tottenham Hotspur also among the leading contenders. Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, and several Serie A clubs including AS Roma, AC Milan, Inter, Juventus, and Napoli are monitoring his situation.

Arsenal’s pursuit comes after signing only Christos Tzolis for their left wing during the summer following the departures of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard. While Spanish outlet Fichajes notes that Mikel Arteta’s side are the club most determined to land the winger, securing his signature will require a significant improvement on their initial €40 million proposal.
