Art Fresh Chicken Corp. has opened a new poultry processing facility in San Pablo, Laguna, designed to handle over 14 metric tons of chicken. The Department of Agriculture (DA) stated that the investment aims to address rising domestic demand and strengthen food supply chains by integrating dressing, processing, and warehousing operations in one location.

The newly inaugurated plant is engineered to streamline the movement of poultry from farms to consumers. According to the DA, the facility’s ability to consolidate dressing and warehousing helps the company maintain stricter quality control and improve cold-chain management. This infrastructure is part of a broader government effort to increase private-sector participation in food production, with the specific goal of enhancing processing efficiency and reducing post-harvest losses. Since its 2019 incorporation, Art Fresh Chicken Corp. has diversified its operations to include animal feeds, medicines, and logistics services, which may complement the utility of this new Laguna site.

The facility is expected to generate approximately 400 jobs, according to the DA. These roles are not limited to internal plant operations; the project is projected to provide downstream opportunities for local poultry growers, transport providers, and logistics firms.
