Australian eatery chain THISBOWL is expanding its presence in New York City, securing a fifth location at 1880 Broadway. The café, which features Asian-inspired bowl dishes and draws inspiration from Australian beach culture, will occupy nearly 2,000 square feet of retail space.
New Retail Developments
The new location is situated on the Broadway side of 15 Central Park West, a luxury condo tower. It will join existing retail tenants, including West Elm. Currently, the retail portion of the property, owned by Global Holdings and Madison Capital, is 95% leased.
Global Holdings leasing head Craig Panzirer stated that the deal “reinforces the strength of the property as a destination for dynamic, forward-thinking lifestyle brands.” A Newmark team represented THISBOWL in the transaction, while Panzirer represented the landlord directly.
Manhattan Property on the Market
Separately, the former Manhattan home of the Core Club has been listed for sale for $49 million. The 40,000 square-foot building, located at 66 East 55th Street, spans six floors and includes features such as spa facilities, a screening room and two outdoor terraces.
Core Club relocated to a larger facility at 711 Fifth Avenue. Potential purchasers of the 66 East 55th Street property could likewise choose to exclude a Sweetgreen retail condo on the ground floor, which would reduce the overall price. RFR is the seller, and the Colliers marketing team includes Zach Redding, Dylan Kane, Jared King, and Josh Goldstern.
