It secured an 87% score on Rotten Tomatoes and an “A-” grade on CinemaScore exit polls.
Meanwhile, Universal and DreamWorks Animation’s family film “Forgotten Island” brought in $7.8 million from 34 markets and $12.8 million domestically, totaling $20.6 million worldwide. Produced on an $80 million budget, the Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado-directed project features a voice cast led by H.E.R., Dave Franco, and Jenny Slate as two best friends stranded in a mystical world.
Universal Pictures Milestone
Universal became the first to cross $5 billion worldwide in 2026, bolstered by Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” at $1.75 billion and “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” at $1 billion.
