Mass Screening: The city has coined the term "Screening Carnival" for its mass TB screening events. These fun and engaging events attract large crowds, making the process accessible and appealing to all. The use ofGeneXpert machines, which deliver results within two hours, ensures quick diagnosis.

Prevention: The program emphasizes preventing the spread of TB in high-risk areas. Individuals in close contact with TB patients, like family members and healthcare workers, are offered Latent TB Infection (LTBI) testing and treatment.
- Treatment: "Banjarmasin Bisa" ensures timely and effective treatment for all confirmed TB patients. The program uses the World Health Organization’s (WHO) latest guidelines for TB treatment, with a 6-month regimen for new cases and 9-12 months for retreatment cases.
The results are encouraging. As of early 2023, Banjarmasin has reported a reduction in TB cases, with more patients successfully completing their treatment. The city aims to attain WHO’s End TB targets by 2030, demonstrating that with a comprehensive, community-centric approach, controlling TB is indeed possible.
