Curators designed the ‘QUANTUM’ exhibition to move beyond traditional textbook explanations by integrating international art pieces with hands-on learning tools. One featured artwork, titled Mr Tompkins, depicts a cat that appears dead from one perspective and alive from another. Accompanying booklets alter the feline’s fictional outcome with each reading. Another central display features a sealed suitcase housing a quantum light source capable of emitting single photons. This suitcase belongs to QuanTour, an international science outreach project that previously visited Bengaluru’s Indian Institute of Science and will travel to Australia next month.

Visitors can examine historical correspondence between theoretical physicists Albert Einstein and Satyendra Nath Bose. The gallery also highlights the historical contributions of female scientists whose research largely went unnoticed during their active years.
