The strategic proximity to the Royal Norwegian Navy opens clear avenues for future defense sector integration. Managing director Trond Berge notes that the company’s subsea technology holds strong potential for military applications, positioning Omega Subsea as a prominent regional competitor to Haugesund alongside major market player DOF. The upgraded Hilleren facility will feature 1,200 square meters of workshop and warehouse space alongside 300 square meters of offices, initially staffing five to seven personnel.
