The newly established hall enshrines 11 historical figures previously recognized on the stadium’s Level of Excellence while introducing a voting portal and annual induction plan to clear a backlog of candidates.

Cito Gaston, who managed the Blue Jays to consecutive World Series titles in 1992-93, noted that the visible celebration of past success motivates guys quite a bit. Gaston recalled how historical signage at the stadium previously inspired visiting opponents to want to be a part of that.
Buck Martinez Inducted as Part of 50th Season
77-year-old Buck Martinez was officially enshrined as part of the hall on Saturday afternoon ahead of a 4-3 victory over the Blue Jays over the Seattle Mariners. Martinez spent parts of five decades with the organization. Following his on-field ceremony, Martinez experienced a private exchange when Brett Bateman approached him in the dugout to express gratitude for what Martinez had done. “He didn’t know me from Adam,” Martinez recalled afterwards.
Bateman later contributed heavily on the field during the matinee matchup, scoring from second base on a wild-pitch ball-4 to George Springer with the bases loaded and hitting a game-tying RBI single the next inning to help spark the Blue Jays’ win.
