Body odor? The bacterium embedded in bacteria may help

LONDON (Reuters) – not enough deodorant to stop your body smell? A new manifestation with live bacteria could help to make these unpleasant smells.

Healthy “healthy skin” in the gray “Skin II”, with long slides, reduces body odor, said designer Rosie Broadhead.

“Body odor is not caused by sweat on your body, it is the bacterium. So we are incorporating healthy bacteria into the textiles to enable a healthy microbe to help reduce your body smell, ”Broadhead said.

“This change in the microbe is to reduce your body smell, stimulate cell renewal and is very good for the immune system of the skin,” she said.

Broadhead developed the cloth as part of his graduate degree in an arts university in London, Central Saint Martins.

She worked with Belgian microbiologist Chris Callewaert from Ghent University to develop Skin II. It provided the healthy sanitary bacteria commonly found on the skin, and carried out extensive research into the causes of body odor.

The two companies plan to trade Skin II, and Broadhead hopes to design a range of sportswear with the same technology.

Broadhead said that the sustainability of the bodysuit was another advantage. Reducing body odor reduces the need to wash the nutrient frequently. The test showed that the bacteria in the bodysuit could wash 30 degrees.

“People are becoming more aware of sustainability and the environment. They are worried about the food they are eating and the cosmetics being put on their skin. But less is known about the toxic chemicals in our clothes. So, on time, I think people will be more aware of fitness clothes, ”Broadhead said.
