Breaking: Body of Varna Man Missing Since Christmas Found by Divers
In a somber development, divers have discovered the body of a man who had been missing since Christmas. The grim find was made near the Maritime Garden in the coastal city of Varna, as confirmed by the Regional Police Directorate.
Police showcased their use of CCTV footage to pinpoint the location. The recordings revealed the man, later identified as 40-year-old Valentine Nikolov, entering the sea for a swim. He was last seen alone, with no one else nearby.
The body was positively identified as Nikolov, with authorities expressing no doubts about the match. It is worth noting that Nikolov was reported missing on December 25, with his last known whereabouts being in the area where his body was found. His belongings remained untouched at the scene.
Earlier this month, Nikolov’s disappearance had sparked a search effort after he was seen entering the water. Despite the sad outcome, his family and friends can now find solace in the closure brought by the discovery.
