Dilliès previously acknowledged the necessity of mastering the local tongue. In a February interview with Bruzz, he stated, “I am indebted to the Brussels residents for a good knowledge of Dutch. That is essential, I plead guilty.” Beyond the formal training in Spa, he is currently taking ongoing Dutch lessons and listening to Dutch-language political podcasts, though he admits to facing specific hurdles with “long words.”
