Headline: Couple Arrested After Sofia Apartment Robbery: 20,000 Leva and 2000 Euros Stolen
A brazen theft occurred in Sofia on December 24, leaving a homeowner robbed of 20 rare coins, 20,000 Bulgarian Lev, and 2000 Euros. The victim, a resident of the "Mladost" district, reported the incident to the Ministry of Interior (MVM), as cited by Dariknews.bg.
The incident transpired between 5:30 AM and 9:30 AM, with the victim recounting that he was visited by a woman he barely knew. The unidentified woman reportedly drugged the man, and upon waking, he discovered the missing valuables. The police swiftly identified the suspect and her male accomplice.
The duo was apprehended separately – the man in the Kniajevo district and the woman at their shared residence. At the scene, police recovered four stolen coins and 3,000 Lev.
The suspected thieves, a 45-year-old woman and her 53-year-old accomplice, were detained for 24 hours. The woman was subsequently arrested for 72 hours and charged with burglary. The woman has a history of drug-related and theft-related offenses.
