Power Restoration Efforts Continue in Western Bulgaria; 20 Villages in Veliko Tarnovo Region Affected

Efforts to restore power in parts of Western Bulgaria are ongoing, with teams from "Eлектрохолд" working to resolve outages, the company reports. Heavy snow cover and strong winds persist in affected areas, leading to frequent treefalls that cause power lines to snap and disrupt electricity supply.

All "EРМ Запад" teams are deployed on the ground, with the company’s coordination center redeploying personnel to the most affected regions. By 2:00 PM, power has been restored in the village of Borovets. However, conditions remain challenging in the municipalities of Troyan, Lovech, and Samokov.

Around 95% of power outages are attributed to trees falling onto electrical conductors, many of which are located outside designated service zones.
