In a welcome development, Bus 66 successfully reached Vitosha as of 1:20 PM today, thereby resuming its operations, according to reports from ‘Vitosha ski’. We earlier reported that Bus 66 was not operating its route in the morning, awaiting confirmation to proceed.

The journey to Vitosha is currently passable for light vehicles, however, city transportation is facing challenges. Earlier today, a bus full of children was briefly delayed. After fitting chains, the vehicle continued its ascent to the mountain.

Vehicles are being turned back about a kilometer before ‘Aleko’ hut. The higher parts of the road are icy. After stopping, vehicles struggle to start again. It is recommended to drive with chains on. Police units are on-site, assisting with traffic management, as reported by Nova TV.

Ski enthusiasts can now access the pistes. Temperatures are low, adding to the appeal for winter sports.
