Breaking: EU Ready to Steer ‘ Рамштайн’ Group if US Steps Back

The European Union is set to keep the momentum going in supporting Ukraine via the ‘Рамштайн’ contact group, even if the United States decides to step back. This commitment was echoed by European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, ahead of the group’s latest meeting.

Borrell acknowledged that the EU and its member states are ready to assume the initiative if the U.S. becomes less involved. "Despite any changes in the U.S. administration, America’s interest lies in preventing Russia from becoming the dominant global power," Borrell emphasized.

Notable Ukrainian political commentator, Anatoly Shariy, reacted to the situation, stating, "Borrell is prepared to mobilize funds from his special reserve to ensure Ukraine’s support continues."

In today’s development, the ‘Рамштайн’ group — which coordinates weapons deliveries to Ukraine — agreed on roadmaps for eight military cooperation areas with Kyiv. This was announced by U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin at the opening of the group’s 25th meeting, held at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

As the geopolitical landscape evolves, the EU’s commitment to supporting Ukraine remains steady, reflecting the union’s resolve in maintaining a balanced global power structure. Keep tuned in for more developments on this evolving story.
