Woman Escapes Unharmed After Car Plunges Into Norwegian Lake

In a dramatic turn of events, a woman driver emerged unscathed after her car ended up in Farrisvannet, a lake in Larvik, Norway. The South East Police District received the distress call at 8:55 AM on Wednesday morning.

"Thankfully, the driver is out of the car and has no physical injuries," confirmed Operations Leader Roger Aaser. The woman, in her 50s, was subsequently taken to the local healthcare center for a check-up.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Car Driver Hits Cemetery, Flees Scene in Norway

In a separate incident, police are seeking the driver of a car that veered off the road and tore through graves at Råholt Kirke in Eidsvoll, Akershus, Norway. The vehicle crashed through a fence, rampaged through a ditch, and plowed over several gravestones before the driver made a hasty escape.

The East Police District revealed that the incident occurred overnight into Wednesday, with no immediate signs of the driver being injured. They launched a search, employing both regular patrols and K-9 units, but the driver remained at large by 4:30 AM.

Several grave monuments sustained significant damage in the incident, according to police reports.
