A Maintenance Technical Apprentice position is available within the Engineering and Technical Services job function. The role focuses on developing skills to maintain buildings, industrial systems, and equipment on an ongoing basis, with a focus on support, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
What the Role Entails
Apprentices will receive training from current engineers in job safety and repair procedures. They will observe engineers performing maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems. Assistance with installation and modification of building equipment and systems is as well part of the role.
The position also involves working with management to ensure energy efficiency and inspecting installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Duties are clearly defined and require following established procedures.
What is Required
Applicants must have a High School Diploma, GED, or be currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college program or technical school. The role requires meeting specific physical demands, including the ability to lift and carry loads of 50 lbs. Or more.
