"We regret that there were disagreements during his tenure, such as the issue involving the judicial branch, which is a matter of internal Mexican affairs," Sheinbaum said. She underlined that these disagreements did not rupture relations with the U.S., unlike the situation with Spain.
The Mexican president expressed that Sheila Nix, the incoming U.S. Ambassador, will inherit a robust and healthy relationship between the two countries. Sheinbaum wished Salazar success in his future endeavors while extending a warm welcome to Nix.
Salazar, in his final remarks, stated that he had no regrets about his actions as U.S. Ambassador, adding that he was proud of the work he and his team had accomplished during his tenure.
