Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti stated that the Pakistan Army and the province’s residents will jointly counter conspiracies against the state.

According to Chief Minister Bugti, terrorists are actively targeting critical infrastructure and local populations. He cited the recent targeting of the Mangi Dam—an important water supply project—as evidence of efforts to undermine the region’s development. Bugti also addressed a recent attack on police officers, noting that reinforcements sent to the scene were also targeted by terrorists.
In response to the violence, a judicial commission has been established to investigate the incident, with the Chief Minister promising that all findings will be presented to the nation. Bugti explicitly rejected the justification of terrorism, labeling the violence an attempt to intimidate those who refuse to support terrorist agendas.
Allegations of External Interference and Propaganda
The Chief Minister identified a challenge involving regional neighbors and domestic political narratives. Bugti alleged that Afghan territory is being used as a staging ground for attacks against Pakistan. Furthermore, he claimed that militant groups operating against Pakistan receive support from India’s intelligence agency.
Bugti also criticized certain political leaders for their conduct during a recent sit-in in Quetta. He stated that these leaders spread misleading propaganda against the state even after the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the associated violence. He described these narratives as part of an organized conspiracy intended to weaken the state and mislead the youth.
Future Outlook and Stability Efforts
Regarding the country’s security posture, Bugti referenced the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, stating that the state provided a strong response to Indian aggression during “Marka-e-Haq.” He asserted that the nation stood with the armed forces throughout the operation, which he claimed demonstrated the fate of those acting at the behest of India’s intelligence agency.
Bugti expressed optimism that these efforts will eventually allow all citizens to live without fear.
