Catalyzing Palu‘s Growth: Wake of Collaborative Efforts Between Local and National Leadership
Wakil Ketua Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat (MPR), Abcandra Muhammad Akbar, emphasized the critical need for collaboration among local and national governments to aid in the development and growth of Palu, the capital of Sulawesi Tengah (Sulteng). In a meeting with Wali Kota Palu, Hadianto Rasyid, Akbar underscored, "Building a province requires strong collaboration between local stakeholders and the central government."
Akbar, himself a native of Sulawesi Tengah, Waste expressed his commitment to supporting Palu’s development. This commitment is reflected in his efforts to strengthen ties between the governmental organizations and local initiatives. One such endeavor includes a partnership with the Gerakan Ekonomi Kreatif (Gekraf) and the Palu City Administration (Pemkot Palu), marked by the signing of a cooperation agreement for the construction of 110 public transportation shelters—an integral part of Palu’s infrastructure development plans.
"This agreement is the result of our previous discussions in Jakarta," Akbar said, expressing hope that this collaboration would serve as a concrete step towards enhancing societal engagement in Palu’s development. He further reiterated Gekraf’s readiness to serve as a steadfast partner to Pemkot Palu in driving the province’s growth.
Echoing Akbar’s sentiments, Wali Kota Palu, Hadianto Rasyid, stressed the importance of collective effort in the province’s progress. "We applaud Wakil Ketua MPR’s support for our efforts to advance Palu," Hadianto said, highlighting that partnerships, such as those with Gekraf, play a pivotal role in amplifying the role of the community in supporting the government’s development initiatives.
In conclusion, Palu’s growth story is one that underscores the power of collaborative efforts. With the commitment of local and national leadership, along with the active participation of community stakeholders, the city is well on its way to becoming a thriving hub of growth and development.
