Talks Break Down as "Democratic Bulgaria" Rejects Second PM Nominee from GERB-SDS

In a Statements released today by GERB, the coalition’s negotiations with Democratic Bulgaria (DB) for a future cabinet and prime ministerial candidate have fallen through after DB declined the second nomination from GERB-SDS. This follows DB’s earlier rejection of the first proposed nominee, Boyko Borisov.

GERB-SDS then presented Rosen Zhalevkov as their candidate, but DB once again refused, leading to the termination of the negotiations. Meanwhile, GERB-SDS expressed gratitude towards the teams from BSP – United Left and ITN for their participation and constructive approach during the talks.

This development comes amidst speculative efforts to form a government following Bulgaria’s recent parliamentary elections. As the political landscape continues to evolve, Bulgaria’s future leadership remains uncertain.

Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
