Headline: Hidalgo‘s Vaccination Drive Against Influenza and Covid-19: Progress and Importance

In Hidalgo, the ongoing vaccination campaign targeting high-risk groups—including children under five, pregnant women, adults over 60, healthcare workers, and those with comorbidities—has shown significant progress.
According to the Hidalgo State Health Secretariat (SSH), the Abdala vaccine rollout has reached 39% of its programmed target (155,317 doses administered) and 94% of the total doses received (164,590, as of November 29). The state aims to administer 400,580 doses to its healthcare sector’s priority population.
For influenza vaccination, the coverage stands at 76.5% (475,565 doses administered) of the received doses (621,000) and 55% of the programmed target (865,271 doses). The SSH urges the public to visit local healthcare units to protect against these diseases, which are more prevalent during this season. It also recommends seeking immediate medical attention for any respiratory symptoms.
