Political Analyst Rocky Gerung Weighs In on PDIP Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto’s Documents Stored by documents/” title=”Misconceptions About Connie BK: A Critical Analysis of Important Documents”>Connie Rahakundini Bakrie
JAKARTA – Political commentator Rocky Gerung has shared his thoughts on the significant documents of Sekretaris Jenderal of PDIP, Hasto Kristiyanto, which are being stored by analyst and defense expert Connie Rahakundini Bakrie in Russia. While the contents of these documents remain unclear, Rocky hazarded some guesses on what they might entail.
"’Perhaps we can speculate about the types of documents Mistah Connie is holding onto. They could be written reports, videos, or evidence of bribery – that sort of thing," Rocky mused on his YouTube channel (29/12/2024).
Rocky believes that politics should always be studied from multiple layers. "The first layer is what’s presented to the public. The second layer is what’s suggested to counteract that presentation," he explained.
Rocky went on to discuss a third layer, which counters the second and so on, until the situation is fully comprehended. He further speculated that KPK‘s (Corruption Eradication Commission) reaction to these documents – whether they proceed with an investigation or not – could give insight into their authenticity and potential impact.
"Maybe these documents will indeed be explosive for KPK. Will they proceed with this case? If in the following days, KPK starts to find ways to weaken its own position, starting with negotiations, that might be the first sign that the documents in Mistah Connie’s possession are genuine," Rocky surmised.
Connie has previously hinted that the documents could be a ‘time bomb’ for certain parties, without revealing their contents. In a recent Instagram post, she expressed concern about Hasto’s designation as a suspect by KPK.
"Regarding Mas Hasto’s designation as a suspect by KPK, of course, I’m concerned. He’s my friend, and we’ve learned a lot from each other. It’s always disappointing when someone close faces such challenges," Connie wrote.
