No Couples Eliminated During Emotional Dedication Night on Dancing With the Stars

No contestants were sent home during a tearful Dedication Night on Dancing With the Stars, marking a surprising twist in the middle of the competition. Co-hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough walked through the customary elimination steps before Ribeiro announced that every remaining pair was safe.

According to Page Six, Hough explained the decision to spare the roster by stating that on such a special evening, no one would be sent home. Instead of regular elimination, all judges’ scores and viewer votes from the episode will carry over to the following week, when two couples will be axed during a themed broadcast.

The Week 6 episode featured the 10 remaining celebrity contestants and their professional partners delivering emotional routines dedicated to influential people and places in their lives. The judging panel of Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli was joined by guest judge and two-time Mirrorball champion Kym Johnson-Herjavec.

Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov Earn Highest Score

Amber Glenn and partner Pasha Pashkov captured the highest score of the night, earning two perfect scores from the judges for a total of 38 out of 40. Ezra Frech and Daniella Karagach kicked off the night strongly by earning the season’s first 10 paddle, finishing with a 37 out of 40 for a contemporary routine dedicated to Frech’s mother, Bahar.

Looking Ahead to Horror Movie Night

With all 10 couples preserved for another week, the competition moves forward with high stakes. Because no one went home during Dedication Night, The Hollywood Reporter notes that a double elimination will take place during the upcoming broadcast.

Next week’s episode will embrace a seasonal theme as the show celebrates Horror Movie Night on October 27. Professional dancer Mark Ballas’ mother, Shirley Ballas, is scheduled to serve as the guest judge for the themed event, where accumulated scores from the carryover week will factor heavily into which two pairs are ultimately sent home.
