Restoration of Heat and Recent Attacks in Kharkiv: Latest Updates from the Regional Administration

Article:

Kharkiv Regional Administration (KRA) chiefs kept residents informed about the situation on the ground as the region continues to bear the brunt of Russian hostilities.

In a dawn update, KRA boss Oleh Synegubov reported that intensive overnight strikes left nearly 500,000 households without heat. However, restoration efforts had already reconnected around 300,000 by morning. Teams are working tirelessly to repair damage in Kharkiv city (1,055 apartment blocks, 92,104 residents) and the Kharkiv district (17,000 residents).

Synegubov confirmed multiple drone strikes across Kharkiv, Kharkiv district, and surrounding regions. Air defenses successfully intercepted many of them. Additionally, enemy shelling in Kupyansk district caused fatal casualties yesterday. Today’s strikes started early, injuring a 50-year-old woman in Dvurechna village.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) provided further details about enemy activity. Russian forces launched multiple assaults near Volchansk, seeking to break through Ukrainian defenses. AFU troops successful repelled all attacks. Simultaneously, over seven assaults were recorded on the Kupyansk front, with Russian forces pushing towards Dvurechna, Peschane, Kolysnykivka, and Lozova.

Moreover, a man perished in a house fire in the Osnovyanskyi district yesterday. Four more fires were ignited due to enemy shelling in different Kharkiv districts, with six individuals reported injured.

Throughout the night, a single air alert was sounded at 04:19, lasting approximately an hour and a half. While no large-scale air activity was detected, concern was raised after sightings of enemy drones near the border with the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Stay tuned for more updates from the conflict zone as the situation continues to evolve.
