Deadly Russian Strikes on Kyiv and Ukrainian Drone Attack Target Russian E-Commerce Site

According to reporters from The Kyiv Post, at least six people were killed by Russian missile attacks on Kyiv and surrounding areas, while simultaneous drone strikes hit southeastern Ukraine and industrial sites in Russia.

Missile Strikes and Infrastructure Damage in Kyiv and Zaporizja

Multiple explosions rocked the Ukrainian capital as smoke rose above Kyiv following coordinated Russian strikes, according to local journalists. Meanwhile, in the southeastern region around Zaporizja, regional governor Ivan Fedorov stated that more than one thousand drones and missiles were fired at the area. The barrage damaged residential homes and a medical center, leaving behind shattered buildings and destroyed vehicles.

Further south, Russian luchtaanvallen hit the Black Sea ports of Odesa, Izmajil, and Mykolajiv, as reported by the Russian Ministry of Defence. In the northern Tsjernihiv region, a separate attack knocked out power for nearly 150,000 residents, according to a regional electricity provider.

Cross-Border Strikes Target Logistics Hubs in Russia

Retaliatory or simultaneous strikes hit multiple locations inside Russia and on the Russian-occupied Crimean peninsula, as documented by The Kyiv Independent. Distribution centers belonging to the major online retailer Wildberries were targeted in Saint Petersburg, Tver, and Crimea. Telegram footage verified thick black smoke and flames billowing from the Saint Petersburg facilities.

According to regional governor Aleksandr Drozdenko, three people sustained injuries during one of the attacks, which also struck a storage facility belonging to a major poultry farm. Wildberries announced that logistics centers at two locations in Saint Petersburg were temporarily shut down following the impact.

Industrial and Regional Casualties From Overnight Bombardments

Human toll figures rose sharply across multiple regions during the overnight hours. Russian air attacks in southeastern Ukraine killed six people and injured dozens more. Concurrently, attacks on a military enterprise near the city of Kirov, located east of Moscow, resulted in six deaths inside Russia.

Zelensky asserted that the warehouses of the Wildberries webwinkel—which operates similarly to Amazon and Bol, selling items from clothing and cosmetics to electronics—stored components for military drones. No public evidence has been found yet to support this specific claim regarding the inventory.
