Delia Stokes, a resident of Proudstown Road, Navan, and formerly of Banna, Tralee, Co. Kerry, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 28th, 2026, surrounded by family. She received care at Beaufort Nursing Home in Navan.
A Life Remembered
Mrs. Stokes was predeceased by her husband, Kevin. She is survived by her children, Jane, Barry, and Paula, as well as her sons-in-law, Christy, Patrick, and John. She will similarly be deeply missed by her sister, Tess, and a wide circle of sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, neighbors, and friends.
Reposing will be held at Fitzsimons Funeral Home, Canon Row, Navan, this Thursday evening from 5-7pm. A removal service will take place on Friday morning, proceeding to St. Mary’s Church, Navan, for Funeral Mass at 10 o’clock. Following the service, Mrs. Stokes will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Irish Cancer Society or Aware.
For those unable to attend in person, the Funeral Mass will be livestreamed on NavanParish.ie. A Condolence Book is available for messages of sympathy to the Stokes family.
The family has expressed their gratitude to the staff of Our Lady’s Hospital and Beaufort House for the care provided to Delia during her illness.
