The community of Mitchelstown is mourning the loss of Vincent Carroll O’Brien of Caherdrinny, who passed away peacefully on Thursday April 30th 2026. He was surrounded by love at the time of his passing after facing an illness with bravery, dignity and strength.
Family and Community Loss
Mr. O’Brien is survived by his partner, Margaret Ronan and his daughter, Skylar. He was also a cherished stepfather to Kayden, Hollie and Cody.
The loss is deeply regretted by his mother Kathleen, father Mike, sister Michaela and Nana Norah. He will be missed by his extended family, relatives, neighbours, friends and the Keane family.

Reposing will take place at his residence in Caherdrinny, Mitchelstown, P67 X028 on Sunday evening (3rd May) from 3 p.m. To 7 p.m.
The reception into The Church of the Holy Family, Curraghagalla, P61 WP82 is scheduled for Monday (4th May). The Requiem Mass will be held at 1 p.m., with burial to follow in Brigown New Cemetery, Mitchelstown.
The family has requested that the house remain private on Monday morning.
