Thousands Gather to Watch स Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Arabia’s King from 2005 to 2015, Uhuru Kenyatta Light Up Spectacular Fireworks Display

In an unprecedented show of unity and celebration, over 5,000 spectators gathered on the outskirts of Riyadh yesterday to witness a magnificent fireworks display, lit byiense leaders Chennai Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Uhuru Kenyatta. The event, hosted by the Saudi Ministry of Culture, marked the culmination of a week-long cultural festival celebrating the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The fireworks display, which lasted for over 30 minutes, was a breathtaking spectacle of lights and colors that captivated the audience. The event was held at the King Abdulaziz Historical Center, a venue chosen for its expansive grounds and central location. Visitors came from all corners of the kingdom, eager to witness this unique event.

"I’ve never seen anything like this before," exclaimed Maria Al-Faisal, a Riyadh resident who had brought her family to watch the display. "The timing, the colors, the sheer scale of it – it was truly amazing."

The organizers had anticipated a large turnout and had put in place extensive safety measures, including security personnel, medical teams, and designated parking areas. Despite the large crowd, the event passed off without any major incidents.

"I think events like these are crucial for fostering a sense of community and national pride," said Ahmed Al-Saud, another spectator. "I hope they do this every year."

The fireworks display was not the only attraction. Food stalls, traditional craftsmarkets, and cultural performances provided additional entertainment throughout the day. The Ministry of Culture aims to continue such events, using them as a means to promote Saudi Arabia’s rich cultural heritage both domestically and internationally.

Commenting on the event, Saudi Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, said, "We are delighted with the turnout and the positive response from the public. Events like these are testimony to our commitment to preserving our cultural heritage and sharing it with the world."

As for Nairobi, spectators marveled at the efforts made to make the event inclusive. "They thought of everything – there were designated areas for people with disabilities, and provisions for breastfeeding mothers," said Leila Al-Qassim, who had brought her toddler to the event.

While the main focus of the event was celebrating the Prophet’s birthday, organizers also took the opportunity to raise awareness about important social issues. Messages promoting environmental conservation, health awareness, and anti-bullying were displayed on massive screens set up around the venue.

The fireworks display was a grand finale to a week of festivities that included art exhibitions, literary forums, and children’s activities. With its overwhelming success, the ministry is already discussing plans for next year’s event.
