Urgent: Free Dengue Vaccination Drive in Tafí Viejo for Youth and Adults
Article:
Get ready Tafí Viejo residents! In a bid to enhance disease prevention and protect the community, a special dengue vaccination drive is set to take place this week. The event, organized by the local municipality in collaboration with the Siprosa provincial health agency, targets individuals aged 10 to 49.
Mark your calendars for a half-day of crucial immunity boosting, happening this Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM at the iconic Club Villa Mitre. The vaccination is free of charge and all participants are required to bring their DNI for registration purposes.
While the dengue vaccine doesn’t prevent infection, it significantly reduces the risk of developing severe symptoms should one contract the virus via an Aedes aegypti mosquito bite. This inoculation drive forms part of a broader public health strategy to combat the spread of dengue and educate residents about protective measures against the disease.
"We’re committed to safeguarding the well-being of our community. By vaccinating those most vulnerable to severe dengue complications, we aim to minimize local disease prevalence and prevent avoidable hospitalizations," said a municipal spokesperson.
So, let’s stand united in our commitment to a healthier Tafí Viejo. See you at the Club Villa Mitre this Friday!
