The crisis kicked off early morning when the Bergus-Sliven passenger train departed with a staggering delay due to a damaged locomotive. Scheduled to leave at 07:35, the train didn’t budge until much later, leaving passengers stranded and annoyed. Unfortunately, the woes extended to other lines too. Services from Gorna Oryahovitsa to Shuymen, Karlovo to Sofia, and Karnobat to Varna have all suffered jamboree due to technical issues.
The cherry on the cake was the overnight fast train from Varna to Sofia, which crawled with an hour’s delay following a locomotive mishap at Dimitrogard station.
