As of the morning of December 27, the average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine remains unchanged at 42.20 Ukrainian hryvnias, with the euro also maintaining stability at 44.20 UAH. Meanwhile, exchange offices are buying dollars at an average of 41.70 UAH and euros at 43.50 UAH.
On the interbank market, the dollar rate stands at 41.85-41.88 UAH (buy-sell), marking a 0.01 kopiyka increase from the previous day’s close.
Official Rate Adjustment
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has reduced the official dollar rate for the third consecutive day following the record high. As of December 27, 2024, the official exchange rate is set at 41.8447 UAH per USD, a decrease of 0.0176 UAH. The official euro rate is 43.5122 UAH per EUR, declining by 0.0037 UAH.
2025 Currency Outlook
Although the dollar rate has increased by 10% throughout 2024, experts anticipate a slow devaluation in 2025. According to prevailing forecasts, the dollar rate could rise by 5-10% next year. Ukrainian economic analysts believe this gradual appreciation will be influenced by various factors, including global market trends and domestic economic developments.
