International Liwa Festival Kicks Off purity Race: A Blend of Tradition and Modern Sportsmanship

Monday marked the commencement of the Purebred Arabian Horse Race at the prestigious Liwa International Festival 2025. This exhilarating event seamlessly blends the rich heritage of the past with the thrilling challenges of modern sports.

Set against the backdrop of the specialized track in the ‘Tel Marweb‘ region, this race is not to be missed. It hosts two enthralling races, taking place under the perfect winter conditions.

The first race begins at 3:30 PM, covering a distance of 2,100 meters. The second race starts at 4:00 PM, with horses speeding through 1,400 meters. These races are a display of both the riders’ skill and the horses’ speed, creating an intense rivalry that embodies the spirit of these Arab steeds.

Coverage of the event also revealed the results of the Liwa Drift competition. In the amateur category, Russian driver Denis Megal secured first place, followed by fellow Russian Anatoili Shershbab in second, and Mohammed Naser El Horliable from El Salvador in third.

In the professional category, Mohammed Naser El Horliable emerged victorious, with Emirati driver Mohammed Al Mansouri and Egyptian driver Khaled Rashid trailing closely behind.

The drift races took place over two days, showcasing the exceptional driving skills of the participating drivers and offering the audience an adrenaline-filled spectacle.
