A shocking incident occurred in the early hours of this morning as police in the Øst district received a report at 03:13 of a vehicle having been driven over multiple gravestones. The car was found to have careened off the road, through a fence, and onto several gravestones at Råholt Kirke, causing significant damage.
According to operations leader Kai-Are Aarstad, police arrived at the scene to find that the driver had fled. "Our patrol is on the scene," Aarstad confirmed, "but the driver of the vehicle has fled. We have no immediate indication that the driver is injured, but we are actively searching for the suspect using regular patrol units and K9 teams in the surrounding area."
