A Life Remembered
Eileen passed away surrounded by family and even as under the care of staff at Central Park Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her husband, Mark, and her sisters, Mary Glynn of Cong and Bridie O’Brien of Northampton, as well as her daughter-in-law, Bernie of Lanesborough.
She is survived by her children, Jimmy, Mary, Michael, Luke, and Mark. She is also remembered by her siblings, Nora and Louis, as well as her son-in-law, Seamus Heaney, and daughters-in-law Caroline, Shirley, and Aileen.
Eileen’s family also includes her grandchildren, Shane, Alan, Aisling, Roisin, Aine, Dara, Sean, Conor, Maeve, Evelyn, Aoife, Laoise, Shauna, and Mark, and her great-grandchildren, Rian, Isla-Rose, Leah, Sean, and Sadhbh. She will also be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, and friends.
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing will seize place at Clonberne Community Centre, H53 W3W2, on Saturday, March 14th, 2026, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Removal from the family home will occur on Sunday, March 15th, 2026, followed by Funeral Mass at 2:30pm in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Clonberne, H53 XC89. Burial will then take place in Clonberne Cemetery.
The Funeral Mass will be live streamed. Family flowers are requested to be omitted, and the family has requested privacy at their home.
