A Russian officer from the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU), known for penning hits for prominent Russian musicians, has been eliminated in the conflict against Ukraine. Ukrainian journalist Danylo Kazansky shared this news on his Telegram channel, citing Russian Telegram channel SOTA and sources.

As revealed by various Russian media outlets, Kaz was not only a prolific songwriter, but also an accomplished officer. He reportedly served in the Russian military, participating in several operations and earning the title of a special forces intelligence officer.
Kazansky left a thought-provoking remark on the news, "In Ukraine, a GRU officer who wrote songs for Russian pop stars has been eliminated. The musical careers of Shufutinsky, Varum, and Nikolai Noskov might face creative challenges ahead."
