Power Outages Hit Sumy, Dnipro, and Poltava Regions: Emergency Blackouts Imposed

Residents in several Ukrainian regions are grappling with scheduled power outages following directives from the National Energy Company, Ukrenergo. The affected areas include Sumy, Dnipro, and Poltava regions.

Sumy Region: Awaiting the Dark

In the Sumy region, the local energy provider, Sumyoblenergo, announced the implementation of emergency power cuts as of 5 PM local time. The outages are categorized into three tiers, or ‘queues,’ with real-time updates available on the company’s website.

Notably, the queue for emergency outages differs from the one used for hourly scheduled cuts, a spokesperson for Sumyoblenergo clarified.

Dnipro Region: No Graphs, Just Blackouts

Meanwhile, in the Dnipro region, DTEK Dniprovskiye Elektroseti confirmed the introduction of emergency power cuts. However, unlike the Sumy region, DTEK emphasized that no specific schedules or graphs are in effect.

Poltava Region: Third Queue in the Dark

The Poltava region also joined the list of affected areas, with Poltavaoblenergo confirming the application of emergency power cuts for the third queue, following Ukrenergo’s directive.

The updates come as the regions brace for the impact of these emergency measures, with residents urged to stay informed and prepared.
