Complete achievement lists for Persona 6 and Persona 4 Revival have reportedly leaked via Steam database tracking on Exophase. The unexpected data leak reveals major story beats, a Yokohama setting, a protagonist group named Hex, and new combat mechanics ahead of any official gameplay reveals from Atlus.
Exophase Leak Uncovers Persona 6 Achievements and Yokohama Setting
Major details regarding Persona 6 have surfaced through an unexpected channel. According to a recent database listing on Exophase, the unannounced JRPG features 48 Steam achievements. While Atlus has only released a brief teaser trailer for the title, the datamined achievement names and descriptions outline the game’s core framework. At the time of writing, over 20 unreleased games have had their achievements lists leaked recently by the tracking site, such as Stranger Than Heaven, and Control Resonant.
The leak indicates that players will join an organization called Hex. The Hex moniker does hold up with the imagery seen in the teaser, which displays a more macabre and supernatural design. This group investigates supernatural crimes across Yokohama, tasking players with arresting various perpetrators. Locations tied to these cases include Hellrite Stage, Justiceopolis, Reverie Dreamland, Craveheart Tower, Yama’s Ledger, Enlightenment Factory, and Unmasked Yokohama.
Investigation Mechanics and Story Structure
Unlike previous entries where teams like the Phantom Thieves targeted hearts, the cast of Persona 6 investigates cases and arrests individuals responsible for mysterious locations known as Underworlds. Based on their descriptions, these could be the game’s version of Palaces or dungeons. In addition, there is mention of Underworlds and several places like Justiceopolis and Craveheart Tower, so it could be taking some notes from Persona 5 and its dungeons. Still, it does read as being more similar to Persona 4, which revolves around several mysteries in the small town of Inaba.
The leaked list also points to multiple endings, with one unlocked for watching the “good ending,” awakening a “true Persona,” suggesting that party members will once again receive upgraded forms after reaching an important point in their character arcs, and the return of the Reaper as an optional enemy, so longtime fans will have another chance to take on one of the series’ most powerful bosses. Classic social features return alongside these new investigative elements, though Social Links are reportedly renamed Connections in Persona 6.
Combat Upgrades and Massive Social Connections
Gameplay achievements indicate several new combat systems, including weapon upgrades, special rounds to initiate battles, perform Breaches, chain multiple handoffs together, and use new abilities called Bloodstruck skills. Outside of battle, many of the series’ classic social features will return. Players will be able to take part-time jobs, improve their Social Stats, ace school exams, invite characters to events, and pursue romantic relationships.
The final achievement listed on Exophase, How many friends can a guy have?
mentioned 80 connections, which is a huge number considering past titles have only had 23. Players will be able to form more than 80 relationships throughout the game.
Release Speculation and Unconfirmed Status
Neither Atlus nor Sega has officially confirmed the accuracy of the leaked data, and Atlus and Sega have kept the title close to their chests. The leak also included complete achievement lists for Persona 4 Revival, which is still six months away. With the Tokyo Game Show just around the corner, it’s not out of the question to assume Persona 6 may appear there. Note: While the list appears to be legitimate and from a Steam database leak, players should take these achievements with a major grain of salt.
