The warning, which remains in effect until Friday morning, covers Møre and Romsdal, Trøndelag, and parts of the Nordland coast. Strong winds are also expected to accompany the snowfall, posing additional challenges for travelers and commuters.
Meteorologist Charalampos Sarchosidis warns, "There will be heavy snowfall throughout the day today and tomorrow. This will likely cause significant traffic disruptions. Those planning to travel should anticipate delays and difficulties."

The anticipated snowfall has already started to cause issues at airports. Trondheim’s Værnes Airport was temporarily closed between 07:20 and 08:30 on Thursday morning due to snow and slippery runways, according to Avinor’s communications advisor, Ylva Celius Trulsen.
"For about an hour, we were out clearing and preparing the runway to ensure safe conditions," Trulsen said. "The airport is now open, but there have been some delayed and canceled flights as a result."
While the airport remains open, further temporary closures may be necessary throughout the day if snowfall continues. Passengers are advised to check with their airlines for the latest information on their flights.
