Solo, KOMPAS.com – Chairman of the Central Jakarta branch of the PDIP, FX Hadi Rudyatmo or FX Rudy, commented on the dismissal of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) from the party’s cadre. Rudy explained that the dismissal was not due to a counterattack but because Jokowi intervened in the affairs of the Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK) when he was still the president.
"It’s not about retaliation. Rather, it’s about the intervention in the Mahkamah Konstitusi during his time as President," Rudy said in Solo, Central Java, on Tuesday (24/12/2024).
Rudy emphasized that the party had educated its members about ideology and rules, especially the Constitution. Therefore, if they make mistakes, they should not interfere with law enforcement or the judicial process.
"We were taught by the party to respect ideology and the rule of law. If we make mistakes, we shouldn’t interfere with law enforcement or the judicial process. Let the legal process proceed as it should," Rudy added.
