Harkev News: December 29 – Heat and Warfare Update on Харьковщина
In a morning briefing for December 29, Oleh Sync-igubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration (HOVA), provided an update on the situation with heat and the aftermath of Russian strikes in the region.
Heat Restoration Progresses

Casualties and Strikes
There were no direct hits on Kharkiv city overnight, but nearby regions felt the impact. A man was killed in the village of Dvorichna, Kupiansk district, after a drone strike at 6:00 PM.
Military Activity
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (GS) reported on Russian attacks throughout the night:
- Near Volchansk, Russian forces launched three assaults.
- In the Kupiansk area, they conducted four attacks, including around Gushingkivka and Lozova.
Overall, the GS recorded 158 battles and over 4,600 shellings along the front line.
A Quiet Night in Харьковщина
The night passed without air raid sirens in Харьковщина. The last alert was sounded on December 28 at 9:04 AM due to a potential missile strike threat. The all-clear was given 13 minutes later, affecting most of Харьковщина, excluding Volchansk and Lypetske communities. No further threats were reported.
