Stavanger Fire: Propane Cylinder Blaze Near Oil Museum, No Injuries Reported
Firefighters in Stavanger responded to a blaze near the city’s oil museum on Tuesday evening, with the first emergency call received at 22:41. The fire was successfully extinguished by 23:30, with no reports of injuries.
The fire involved a trailer containing a propane cylinder and other unidentifiable materials. The trailer was parked next to a tent that was also consumed by the flames. Despite the intense blaze, the fire was brought under control and extinguished.
"Good fire, but the situation is now under control," stated Trond Fosse, the incident commander from the fire department, in a report to Stavanger Aftenblad. A nearby cabin also sustained significant damage in the incident.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and investigations are ongoing. While there were initial concerns about a gas leak, emergency services managed to control the situation, with no reported gas leakage at the time of the final update.
