Breaking News: Another Roofing Contractor’s Delivery Vehicle Set Ablaze in ‘s-Hertogenbosch

Yet another early morning incident has occurred in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, where a delivery vehicle owned by a local roofing contractor has been damaged by a fire. The police are treating the incident as a suspected case of arson.

The fire was reported around 6:00 AM this morning at the Monseigneur van Schaikstraat. Although no one was injured, the damage to the vehicle is extensive, with the engine hood completely melted. The flames also spread to a nearby parked car, making it difficult for firefighters to extinguish the blaze due to a ruptured fuel tank in the car.

It remains unknown whether both vehicles belonged to the same owner. The police have not yet contacted the owner(s) and are currently ongoing with their investigation.

This is the second such incident this week in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Just a few days ago, on Christmas Eve, a similar attack occurred at the same contractor’s location, marking the fourth such incident.

CCTV footage shows a person approaching the vehicle on a bicycle and appears to throw something onto it before a flare-up occurs.

Investigations suggest that ongoing conflicts among roofing contractors in ‘s-Hertogenbosch are behind these fires. This year alone, there have been over 20 explosions targeting both cars and houses in the city. A roofing contractor interviewed by Omroep Brabant in October claimed that contractors are deliberately targeting each other to gain work, especially during dry periods when there is less work available.

Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
