Russian news has surfaced, detailing a generous gesture by Ural-based corporation FORÉS. The company has announced a $150,000 (15 million rubles) reward for Russian servicemen involved in the destruction of the first American F-16 fighter jet. The company’s press service revealed this development, citing FORÉS’ General Director, Sergei Shmotyev.
Shmotyev expressed pride in the bravery of Russian soldiers and reaffirmed FORÉS’ commitment to backing those who daily put their lives on the line for their nation’s security. "We are honored to support our heroes in this manner and will continue to assist in any way we can," the director pledged.
The American aircraft in question was a F-16, shot down in the Special Military Operation (SVO) zone in the Ukrainian region of Zaporizhzhia. FORÉS’ press service confirmed that the funds will be distributed immediately after receipt of official confirmation from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
