Frank Caliendo, a resident of Cummeen, Strandhill Road, Sligo, passed away peacefully on December 20th, 2025, surrounded by family. He had previously been associated with The Ritz Restaurant and Liber, both located on O’Connell Street in Sligo.
A Life Remembered
Mr. Caliendo is predeceased by his wife, Nuala. He is survived by his children, Suzanne and Brian, and his three grandchildren, Noah, Benjamin, and Luca. He is also remembered by his sister, Ann Mc Gonigle, and several in-laws including Jerry Mc Gonigle, Dan, Michael, Ger, Jim, John, Esther, and Leila.
Following his death, Mr. Caliendo was to repose at Seán Feehily’s Funeral Home, Cartron Cross, Sligo (F91EH98) on Sunday, December 21st, beginning at 3pm. A removal service was scheduled for 5pm, proceeding to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Sligo, with an arrival time of 5:30pm.
A Mass of the Resurrection was to be celebrated at the Cathedral on Monday, December 22nd at 11:30am, and was to be livestreamed via www.sligocathedral.ie. Burial will follow at Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Scarden, Strandhill Road, Sligo.
The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the North West Hospice Fund, care of Seán Feehily’s Funeral Home, Cartron Cross, Sligo, through www.feehilys.ie/pay. The family has requested privacy at their home during this time.
