With winter in full swing, the Secretariat of Health in Mexico City (CDMX) is urging residents to protect themselves against the flu and COVID-19 by participating in the current vaccination campaign. Where and When

The CDMX Health Secretariat has launched its 2024-2025 winter vaccination campaign, which began on October 16, 2023, and will continue until March 28, 2024. The campaign aims to vaccinate priority groups, including children aged 6 to 59 months, adults over 60, pregnant women, individuals with comorbidities, healthcare workers, and other vulnerable populations.

COVID-19 Vaccines

Two types of COVID-19 vaccines are available during this campaign:

  1. Sputnik V: Available at all 232 IMSS-Bienestar health centers across CDMX’s 16 neighborhoods.

  2. Abdala: adminstered at 42 health centers in CDMX’s 16 boroughs.

Flu Vaccines

Flu vaccines are offered at all healthcare centers in CDMX. To locate the nearest center, visit CDMX Health’s website.

Important Information

  • You can receive both vaccines simultaneously, as there are no contraindications for taking them together.
  • Annual revaccination is recommended for optimal protection.
  • If you experience respiratory symptoms, postpone your vaccination until the symptoms have disappeared.
