Garth Brooks to Play 10 Irish Concerts Next Summer, None in Dublin

Garth Brooks will perform 10 concerts across five Irish cities in May and June 2027, including stops in Belfast, Galway, Kilkenny, Limerick, and Cork. Tickets for the tour go on sale Thursday, November 12, at 8:00 a.m. through Aiken Promotions, as the artist returns to Ireland following his 2022 run at Croke Park.

Ten shows across five cities

The country music star has scheduled two nights at each of the five venues. The tour kicks off at the Boucher Road Playing Fields in Belfast on May 21 and 22, 2027. Following the Belfast dates, the tour moves to Pearse Stadium in Galway for shows on May 29 and 30, according to The Irish Times.

The itinerary continues into June with performances at UPMC Nowlan Park in Kilkenny on June 4 and 5, and the TUS Gaelic Grounds in Limerick on June 11 and 12. The final two concerts are set for SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork on June 18 and 19.

Cork GAA relocates fixtures to accommodate summer concerts

The announcement follows a period of speculation regarding major summer concerts at these venues. Cork GAA confirmed that if any scheduled senior football matches clash with the dates at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, the fixtures will be moved to Páirc Uí Rinn, as reported by The Irish Times. Aiken Promotions, which is managing the tour, previously shared teaser videos of “special delivery” boxes arriving at the stadiums, fueling rumors that a major act would be performing at multiple GAA grounds throughout the summer. Before the official announcement, the cryptic nature of these videos led some to speculate that Bruce Springsteen or Zach Bryan might be the headliner. An Instagram collaboration between Aiken Promotions and Downtown Country fueled further rumors that the artist would be a country performer.

Historical context of Irish performances

Brooks, who has sold more than 200 million albums throughout his career, returned to the Irish stage in September 2022 for five sold-out shows at Croke Park. That residency saw 400,000 fans attend, marking his first performances in the country in 25 years.

This upcoming tour follows a contentious period in 2014, when a planned five-night run at Croke Park was canceled. Dublin City Council had granted licenses for only three of the five shows, prompting the singer to cancel the entire series in protest. Brooks previously performed at Croke Park in 1997. His extensive list of accolades includes two Grammy Awards, 17 American Music Awards, 12 People’s Choice Awards, and seven Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year honors.
