Unusual Sightings: ‘Grinch-Like’ Figure in Nissen Outfit Plagues Norwegian Suburb
Asker, Norway – Residents of Vettre, a suburb in Asker, Norway, have been unsettled by a mysterious figure dressed as the Christmas gnome, ‘Nissen’, roaming their streets. The Asker and Bærum Police District (Øst) shared this unusual occurrence, detailing instances where the individual has rung doorbells and swiftly departed, sometimes leaving an unwanted ‘gift’ in residents’ gardens.
Operational leader Sven Martin Ege described the situation, "We’ve had reports of this Nissen impersonator ringing doorbells and quickly moving on. In a few cases, the ‘Nissen’ has urinated in people’s hedges." Ege acknowledged the strange behavior, "We’re not aware of why this person is acting this way. We’re hoping to make contact with them to put an end to this."
