Eindhoven Asylum Center Blazes, Two Injured; Arson Suspect Detained
A fierce fire at an asylum seeker center in Eindhoven early Monday morning left two people injured and prompted a massive response from emergency services. The former Novotel building on Anthony Fokkerweg was swiftly evacuated, with all occupants accounted for.
The suspects of arson were promptly into custody by local police. Investigators found multiple points of origin for the fire, indicating it may have been deliberately set. Both injured parties were transported to a nearby hospital via ambulance.
